I’m Rafaël Santana born 1972 in Rotterdam The Netherlands, welcome to my portfolio. It’s an honor that you have taken some time of your life to view mine photos. I'm a Portuguese photographer living in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. I have a big passion for photography, this passion started when I whas about 16 years old, and I never stopped taking photos. My first camera was a Canon FTb that I had received from my father because he no longer used it, and from that moment on I was sold to photography and in love with the art. But I did not understand why, that was only later when I saw old photos from years ago, from that moment on I understood why photography was and is so special.
Photography gives me a reason to travel and explore new places. Also get to put my creativity, and my love for photography, into action.  I can’t help feeling that I get more out of my experiences because of photography. Photography also helps me meet new people. Some of those people are online contacts, some are people that I’ve met in real life, also it gives me creative fulfilment, It helps me to express myself, and that’s a wonderful thing.
